Spray foam insulation is applied as a liquid and expands as a foam, as such it fills every nook, cranny, crevice, hole, crack, and gap, making a perfect continuous air-tight seal every time, regardless of complex framing and penetrations. It does not sag or settle and exceeds all building codes for air barrier systems. All spray foam that Warm Home Insulation uses are CCMC (Canadian Construction Materials Center) approved for use in buildings. They must meet CAN\ULC S705.1 material specifications and must be applied exclusively by fully certified contractors. Warm Home Insulation's installers are CUFCA (Canadian Urethane Foam Contractors Association Inc.) certified. Three examples of spray foam are: 2 lb. density closed celled spray foam, 1/2 lb. density opened spray foam and 3 lb. density closed celled roofing foam. 2 lb. Density Spray Foam Polar Foam 7300 - Soya has a "Real World" R-Value that is uncomprimised by external forces like temperature and wind. As temperature drops, convection currents speed up and other insulations may lose their effectiveness at slowing them down. Polar Foam 7300 - Soya on the other hand stops convection. Wind is not a factor either for Polar Foam due to its continuous air tight seal. Polar Foam 7300 - Soya has a closed cell structure that is a thermal barrier, air barrier and vapour barrier, it stops convection currents that causes condensation, moisture and mold, which in turn improves indoor air quality and comfort. Since it creates a continuous air-tight seal, dust and other exterior pollutants cannot enter the building. Polar Foam 7300 - Soya has an R-Value of over 6 per inch, the highest R-Value on the market today, and is enviromentally friendly. It is made from annually renewable soybean oil and recycled plastic bottles. It also utilizes a zero ozone depleting substance (ZERO ODS) blowing agent. It does not contain any fibers, loose particles, VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) or CFC's (Chloro Flouro Carbons) that can contaminate indoor air quality. A building that is insulated and sealed with Polar Foam 7300 - Soya will use 50% - 80% less energy, reducing fossil fuel usage and greenhouse gas emissions. No matter how you look at it, with its high R-Value or its "Green" qualities, Polar Foam 7300 - Soya is a wise choice when deciding which insulation to use for your next project. 1/2 lb. Density Spray Foam HTS Efficiency Plus is a water blown spray applied system that cures to a semi-rigid low-density foam, it has a lower R-Value (approximately R 3.6 per inch) than 2 lb. density closed cell spray foam, but is a good air barrier and thermal insulator at a lower per sq. ft. cost. It acts as an air barrier to minimize air leakage and seal the building envelope for optimal air tightness. HTS Efficiency Plus is safe for the environment, containing no formaldehyde or ozone depleting chemicals. 3 lb. Density Roofing Foam HTS 3300 is a spray applied poly-urethane rigid foam system. it is designed primarily for flat roofing coating systems on a variety of substrates including wood, metal, or concrete. Its high R-Value and seamless spray applied coating makes the HTS series of foam and coatings a smart choice when deciding to replace a flat or low sloped roof.
